Water oil mix spells end of engine!

Ok....engine is out. Drained the oil first...haha. First out was about 2litres if clear water! Now that was a surprise!!! Then came some gloop. Then we had to bung it while we changed buckets. Undid the plug....and more water??? Presumably more fron the cooling system once the sump had drained lol. Then more gloop.

So....still looking at the seals at bottom of the engine or sommat worse? Would like to know what went. Bear in mind that this time last year we pretty much froze it solid....the only saving grace was that fluid was low. My fault. Is this the result? Its gone up welsh mountains and through frwnch forests in the meantime!

yep...it is indeed a dg Kev. Being replaced with DJ.

And no - there is no oil cooler fitted for a nice easy repair!

oh that's good - I was worried about a cracked block....which would have been terminal?. ok...will find a bench in the garage somewhere....and start taking it to bits I guess!!
