need a working carb!!!!!!

Post by flatnbroke »

hi, i have a 1.9 automatic t25 caravelle which has a broke choke , the butterfly does not work and closes at odd times which causes the engine to stall . does anyone know where i can source a whole carb or if not can anyone let me know if any other sort of carb will give me the butterfly to the nylon piece which would fit it . my van is unreliable without it which is not making me a happy bunny!!!!!!

I had the same problem
Good carbs are hard to come by but if yours is ok you should be able to get a second hand 2e3 and swap the part over that's what I did

I suppose you could try gower and lee for the part but its a long shot

As a temporary fix remove the choke flap, choke wont work but a minuite or so from cold and it shoul just tickover
to replace the plastic link you will need to take the flap off anyway, just don't loose the screws down the carb
