Lack of power and acceleration.

I have just fitted a new coil and king lead to my van. 1.9 dg. I have driven it for 15 miles no problem, however when i took it to a mates last night once i had done a couple of miles it refused to rev or pull off without screaming the nuts off it. i couldnt accelerate at all even when going downhill. I am not 100% it is linked to the new coil but its the only thing that has changed since it last ran properly.... any help would be greatly appreciated

crossed the number from the bosch one that was on to the one i have now. it is an intermotor one which i hate but bosch was special order and i needed to get it home when it was stuck at work. i work at Andrew Pages so have the facilities to cross reference numbers and such.
