whole electrical system could do with a clean..... well big tidy & a bit of a re wire , well thats the plan anyway

just had a look, one blue /green one yellow/red one brown & a black .
there are 9 openings on the block , is it for a relay ?

According to newkid on the other thread its relay 43 for you coolant level sensor

Mine's a 70A relay with wiring and fuse to match - the one above only has puny wiring so wouldn't be anything power hungry.

We have already established its 43 coolant level sensor relay by the colours and a bit of detective work :D

sorry forgot to mention mine is a 1981 , 1.9 dg, but i was told it had an air cooled engine before

coolant 43 box on early vans

the relay with the fuse is for the electric fan on diesel turbo or 1.7d engine ( bigger fan ) relay is for full speed , they use normal wiring for low speed
