Guess it depends on what you are getting?
I recently fitted a Propex HS2000 so can only say that the following (in for sale section) looks complete to me....

Perfectly straight forward (usually). Be prepared for the corrugated burner exhaust and air inlet pipes to disintegrate when trying to remove them. You will very likely need to replace those. The wiring is straight forward. (assuming a Red Propex 1600 compact ?) There is is the main heater, the (attached) "black box" (with "low volt" and "burner lit" LED's, the thermostat unit (with rocker switch and rotary heat control) plus stuff like warm air out grill and ducting. Make sure you get the alloy brackets that hold the main unit to the floor as they "raise" it above the floor a tad, to allow cool air to circulate.
Wiring colours from main heater (on mine) are
Blue = permanently live.
Black = earth.
Red = to the stat, this is the wire that, when live, fires up the unit.
Orange = to the stat, this wire, when live, operates just the fan (no burner) for fresh air circulation and / or cooling down the unit after turning the burner off.
The terminals on the stat are marked easily for +ve and -ve but as for the other 2 (in the middle) I cannot remember which way rould they go, but no harm will result if you get them wrong as one is for "fan only" and the other is for "fan + burner" so a quick experiment (50 / 50
) will tell.
Some models have a "cool down cycle" that, when you (or the stat) turn the burner off, causes the fan to stay running for a while, to cool the insides down. Mine does not do this but Propex say some versions don't and not to worry.

Get everything you can see in that pic ...... plus

Make sure you snag the mounting brackets that hold the main unit to the van (2 x L-shaped brackets on mine)
Snag whatever pipe connector is connecting the gas pipe to the threaded connector on the main unit (I had a pig of a time finding something that worked for my ebay acquired version)
On mine there is a cable from the main box to the thermostat/control unit, then another cable from that unit to the power source (but your version may vary).

Mine (1600 compact) has an annoying "issue". Despite being fed (and earthed) with very good quality 10 amp cable and having measured the voltage at the heater end = all good (~ 13.9 when engine running) mine sometimes takes 1, 2, 3 or even 4 attempts at switching on before the burner fires up (you can hear the "woosh" when it does) It does do the clicking (igniter) btw. This is no big deal when you just want some instant heat, but it sometimes does it via the stat. i.e. = Fire it up, set stat, go to sleep. Stat turns it off at set temp, but sometimes when the stat says "come back on" it doesn't
This despite the fact it had a full Propex Service (new motor, igniter, flame sensor etc) only 18 months ago.

ghost123uk - I have a similar issue, although always assumed that it just took a few attempts for the gas pressure to build up in the pipes (I don't use it that often, and it's a fairly long run from the tank to the propex .... );
I figured that if the ignitor is clicking away then it must have passed all it's 'internal tests' but just didn't quite manage to spring into life in time....strange?
(fyi - I don't tend to use it with the stat - it's either on cos I'm cold, or off cos I'm not
- so haven't noticed if it has same issue then ...)

Umm, I thought that, but as long as the pipework to the Propex is gas tight, pressure should not leak away. I have checked mine for leaks and found none. I also, after leaving the gas tap OFF overnight, slightly unscrewed the pipe union on the Propex and can hear a brief hiss of gas escape as the pressure is released, so I don't think it's that
