Horn contact ring

Post by TOG118 »

Hi, the horn on our 1989 van has stopped working. It is the original wheel and instrument set up.

On closer inspection the circular brass ring on the slip ring, which cancels the indicators too, has fallen apart. In doing so it looks to have taken out the required brush or contact on the multi-function switch below.

I can get a new contact ring, but has anyone got any ideas what the brush might look like on the multi-function switch so I can attempt a repair? It looks to have been at the bottom of these switch assembly.

If anyone has the wheel of their van and has a picture showing this, then it would be appreciated. Cheers.
