Dont know what was wrong maybee the hall sensor. Steve from Bugs & Buses has got a box of faulty ones he has changed over the years, the one he fitted has 2 vaccume pipes [ mine has one] Brickwerks are out of stock of the og hall sensor Bosch ones, Itchyfeet sent a link of the Heritage complete distributor £110.00 But I think its a made in China copy.
Dont know what to do, ie secondhand, heritage complete one or try & find an og Bosch hall sensor to repair mine???

Yes I've spent nearly £250 on bits that were ok, very hard to find an intermitant fault, all I know now is its running ok with a different distributor in, with none of the problems I had before. If I get a new og Bosch Hall Sensor is there anything else in the dizzy that might of been at fault?? :?

Phil
Drop it round to me and I will strip it and find what's wrong before spending anymore

Some of those bits you bought can be resold or keep them as spares

Cheers

I had a similar problem with my bay 1600 tp and like you ended up replacing loads of bits and mine turned out to be the dizzy, replaced it and is running fine now..

Acuspark, but I ment there was a lot of play in the dizzy which was giving me similar symptoms.
Driving along engine dies under load, mess around on the side of the road bus starts drive another few miles engine cuts out same routine all the way back form the coast.

So a mechanical fault then..
sounds more plausible. for an intermittent fault in the distributor.
