I have a nice shiny Brickwerks vertical roller waiting to be fitted to the hinge link. Took the hinge assy off the door, consulted Haynes & Bentley, removed the 'U' link, then attempted to 'press out the pin'. Yeah right, this ain't coming out!
I tickled the face with a grinder to ensure there wasn't a burr and I had a flat face to work on. Hammer & punch - nope. Pressed in a vice - nope. Heated the body with a blowtorch - nope. I'm sure I'm going the right way - the end in the pic is approx 5mm diameter, the hole on the other side (blanked with a wee nylon plug) is approx 7mm.

I'm reluctant to try more destructive methods of removal because I can't find anywhere to source a replacement pin.
Anyone done this before and found a solution, or a source for a replacement pin in case I have to resort to destructive methods?!
And while I was at it - the very rusty latch that secures the door open - that's never worked, its been stuck in.

I'm guessing I can just drill out the pin, remove the latch and hopefully a spring, clean them up then refit with a bolt & nylok nut. Seem reasonable?
Cheers,
Rob & Sandy
