HELP. AAZ Injection pump spurting diesel

Cant figure out why this plastic thing on my AAZ pump is spurting diesel. Seems to only happen on full throttle.



Any ideas? What does that thing actually does? Apart from throwing out diesel all over my turbo & exhaust?

Bewildered as usual...Should have gone 2.0l petrol

your missing a pipe coming off that rubber circular thing in middle of picture. If I remember right it connects to the fuel pipe. look in engine bay. if its always been diesel theres two pipes above fuse box on left. ones a vacuum pipe for servo. connect it to the other pipe. It should have plastic oneway valve on it.
Correct me if I'm wrong Max and Caddy?

Surely the return pipe that is disconnected - circled in red, should be connected there?



Well it looks disconnected. (different pump to the 1Y so just going on what I can see)

As I said above it connects to the oneway valve on fuel line above fusebox on left in engine bay. Pic here but for some unknown reason it wont add it. Saying invalid file. I can email if you want. Just finishing my 2nd aaz conversion.

Hmm. I see what you mean now. It could be it . But mines a thin black pipe that goes inside that rubber clipon circular thing. Sorry.

Err..are we talking about the think that looks like a old Morris minor air filter but smaller and rubber? If so its a vent or the LDA diaphragm...if its spuring diesel there must be either a load diesel in there for some odd reason the pump has a leak internally..maybe remove the lda and diapham top and give it a blow out.
