Cab carpet.

Post by Woodyyellow »

In the spring, along with all the other jobs I hope to do on the van, I would like to replace the fitted rubber mats in the front cab area with carpet to improve the comfort and sound deadening. Has anyone done this and can they recommend the type of carpet to fit. There seems to be plenty of stretch carpet for sale on the flebay, but this seems more suited for the side walls of a van. Newton Commercial do a front set but at £245 seems a tad expensive, has anyone fitted these, are they good quality and easy to fit?
Any other recommendations or advice please?
Cheers

Easy to do yourself use the old rubber mat as a template and cut out the new carpet to suit then find a local carpet shop and see if they will bind the edge for you,i did this on my Komet and plan todo the same on the syncro going to use this carpet

Great idea by slippy or the alternative maybe to try the following:

http://www.megavanmats.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I got some ready made ones from these folk = http://rugsforbugs.co.uk/products-page/products/t25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I think they post on here sometimes (but I could be wrong). They are "heavy grade", good quality and the price is quite reasonable. I am very happy with them.
