i'm insured through a rather well known insurance company, the wife has just phoned them to inform them that i'm running lpg, they have told her that my premium will go up as well as my excess.
other people who i know are insured with the same company have told me it didn,t affect their premuim should i just swallow the cost or argue the point

Just checked with my Insurance Co, as I am thinking of converting. No extra, just require a certificate from an official installer

Interesting Ivor & Horace.

I had the van converted to gas in June, phoned Lynbrook who advised there would be no increase in premium.

Phoned Saturday to renew my Insurance & asked to increase the sum assured to take into account part of the cost of the conversion, again no increase.

I thought they would ask for the gas conversion certificate, but havent yet, although from what you guys say, its just a matter of time.
