Coil conversion

Post by JNW »

Hello
Has anyone ever attempted a coil upgrade on a 2.1 DJ? Either to a coil pack or pencil coils?
Cheers

For what benefit? how are you going to trigger these coil packs, ECU controlled? crank position sensor, variable timing! all massive retrospective fitments.

Megasquirt or similar, mapped ECU, with ignition as well as injection? Lovely! Go for it! You'd probably mount the 36-1 trigger wheel behind the crank pulley.
