not starting

hi help needed im having trouble starting my van at first I thought this to be a fuel problem but have eliminated that the van will sometimes start and run for about 15 seconds then dies when ive then checked for sparks from ht/coil nothing but abit later it will fire up again any suggestions it has electronic dizzy and no advance retard mechanism any help gratefully received

turns out to be the dizzy and its only 5 months old and done about 500 miles at the most its a empi 009 anyone else had trouble with these
