Aaz pump?

Post by Bigjcc55 »

I've just bought a pump to replace the one on my van which seems to be for an n/a diesel of some sort.
The pump I just bought has two wires coming out between the injector pipes at the rear, can these be left unconnected? I'll try and add an image tonight when I get home.

Thanks jc

I've managed to get a part number from the side of the pump, 0460 494 413.
Even if it isn't the perfect pump to use I'm hoping it will be better than the one currently fitted.

The device between the injector pipes with the two wires is a timing sensor, which sends a signal to the electronic control unit at the commencement of injection. As you probably don't have an ECU, you can leave the wires disconnected.

I have no idea whether that pump is suitable for your engine though.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

That was the reply I was looking for. The van has an aaz fitted already by the previous owner, so Im hoping it should be a straight forward swap over, no doubt I'll be back with more questions.
Thanks.
