Just got a new starter battery - correct dimensions etc. However, to get the old out/new in I need to move the seat. In the picture below are the bolts (in the centre of the swivel plate) what need to be removed? It's dark but I can't see any others? Just need reassurance before I do it...
Ta.
All I ask is for the chance to prove that money won't make me happy.
If this is the passenger seat, then you just rotate the seat 180deg.
If it's the driver's seat, then you can't do that because of the steering wheel. Handbrake off, rotate the seat so the driver's feet would be out the door, slide it full back, remove any plastic slide that's in the front of one or both runners - then slide it all the way forwards and out of the runners. There might be a catch need releasing. Then rotate the base so that the seat would be pointing backwards.

Fair play I'm a nobhead! Of course that is what I need to do.
Unbelievable how thick I can be sometimes.... any excuse that its been a long week, month, year....??? Face-palm!
I'll resist the temptation to delete my idiocy in case someone else ever needs the same.
Oh, and thanks (as ever) for the reply!!!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.... having said all that it still won't come out, not even on an angle - the seat plate is too far to the back.
Having swiveled the seat I can see other bolts in the original seat runners. Are these the ones to come off?

That's because the swivel's still sideways.
This is a passenger seat? You want the occupant to be facing fully backwards. Then slide the actual seat as far towards the windscreen as you can.
If it's the driver's seat, you haven't removed the seat yet. THEN rotate the base, same as passenger.

Radio code?
Martin
Thanks Martin. Not quite as much of a numpty as my posts suggest!!!!
Thankfully I've wired the radio and all other bits and bobs to the leisure so all the starter does is start and run the headlights.... Starting today was bliss!

Sorry mate.....grandma sucking eggs etc......just that the T25 layout means that it is very easy to short out terminals to the seat base and surrounding bodywork.

True and you don't want to do that.
I would also be looking for a cover for them terminals, as a stop gap a piece of plywood would do the job.

No no Martin! Not snapping at you - thanks very much for taking the time (no offence intended). Merely pointing out further my own idiocy!! I've decided that it is not good to undertake ANY job in the cold and dark and after a 14 day at work!

Thanks. I have some perspex sheet I'm going to use for this..... been sat ready to cut for.... too long! Funny how the small jobs take longer to get round to!
Thanks
