Reverse light on gear box location

Hi folks.

My reverse lights are currently not working and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with a wire that's hanging down under the van near the Gear box. I'm pretty sure that this wire is meant to connect onto the gear box but I can't find where it's meant to go. The engine has been replaced but I'm sure the gear box is still the original one so hopefully the connection is still there just not somewhere obvious.

I'd be very grateful if anyone has any photos or some good ideas as to where look.

Obviously that's the switch the lights are on the rear of the vehicle
