Rear Foglight

I'm connecting up the rear foglight on my 89 Diesel Westy and need some help. The Gray/White feed to the cluster only runs from the engine bay fuse box. It has the original yellow vw connector on the end so I'm going to have to run cable to it. The main fuse box has a fog lamp dedicated fuse but I need to know if there is wiring behind it, the colour and which connector it exits through. There are numerous loose connectors behind the dash but none are the gray/white I was expecting to find. I bought a vw three way switch to use. I don't have a manual and none of the wiring diagrams I found on the site/internet have been any help.
