Unknown wire to the Handbrake!

Post by chuggers72 »

OK be gentle - I have a query! :?

I am changing my heater motor and in the process (of having the dsh etc out) I have lost the wire that feeds the switch on the handbrake that switches the light on the dash on/off! Schoolboy error I know, however, I just need to know - was this wire an earth ?

No. the wire runs between the light and the handbrake switch.
The switch earths one side of the light in much the same way as the door pilar switches turn the interior lights on.
