No spark!

Post by dalenruth »

Hi all,
My van has been stood for a week or two but today I tried to start it and can't get a spark. I hadn't had any issues previously and have tried everything in my knowledge! There is power to the coil but no go with the spark. Does anyone have any ideas please?
Thanks
Dale

Thick rubber gloves then see if you get a a spark from HT cable from coil to dizzy by holding it near engine case whilst someone tries to start it. If you do, you know its likely to be a dizzy issue and can look further.

Do that and perhaps we can help narrow it down for you, bit by bit.

Oh and welcome by the way.

Cheers mate!
Have tried that and no spark still. Wonder if it's something to do with the electronic ignition?

No spark atthe king lead could be the ECU
if not that then it's the hall sensor on the distributor
