Fridge Vent seal

Post by JackE »

Hello,

I removed the fridge vent seal to treat some rust, and found that the sealant had gone, letting water in.

I just wondered what the best sealant to replace it is?

A lot of forums mention Sikaflex 221 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281191881788? ... 1438.l2649

But some people mention Stixall http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Adhesiv ... 199/p69243

Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations?

Have just replaced my fridge vent and used Hodgsons Seamseal. Its a non- drying bedding sealant.
Bought it from local caravan accessories shop. £2.99 for 380ml cartridge.
