Heater blower - how many amps?

Post by chuggers72 »

I'm rewiring my heater blower with new resistors from Brickwerks - anyone know how many amps it draws? Just want to use the correct new cables. :)

I'd probably go for 2mm thin wall (25amp) or even 3mm2 standard (27.5amp) as standard 2mm2 is rated at 17.5amp so a bit close to the 12amp draw of a new motor.
You don't want the wires getting warm or the extra resistance not allowing the fan to spin at full power.
