Good Day All,
I am new to this forum and reside in Kauai Hi. My van has been a part of the family for over 10 years. Bought it from the original owner and since has helped in countless memories of "daddy's van"
I recently left hawaii for 5 weeks for business and upon my return the van started right up. I smiled as I drove through town saying hi to friends and family, and 3 hours later the van stalled in a parking lot. It took me 2-3 minutes of it starting/stalling to get it into the parking spot. Once we left the store it took a minute and then started again..only to stall around the corner and hasn't been alive since. I have tinkered on the engine over the years and first thing I always do is check to see if anything came disconnected ore loose. I found nothing. I was getting intermittent readings from my ignition coil so I ordered a replacement, charged up my battery, installed it and nothing. During the coil replacement I also put all new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor as to aid in my mind. No start.
I then called a guy who knows a little of the engine and together we pulled the injectors to check for pattern spray and nothing comes out. I have verified the pressure is good at the "t" connector for the fuel line (holds over 35psi for 15 minutes) and then checked the resistance at the injector wiring harness and it was around 5-6 ohm. The digfiant training manual references 16 ohm for operation. So I ordered a replacement (rebuilt) ECU thinking that was the issue and to my displeasure it still doesn't start. I've read around and have been suggested to replace the ignition switch….etc. Bottom line I need help from you gents. I hate to keep throwing parts at a problem while the buckshot approach seems to finally get things working. I honestly don't have the monies to fancy it all up when I'd like to be a sharpshooter. I have also rolled the two relays in the engine compartment hoping the one for the fuel was "bad" no luck there either. Please offer advise as to where I need to go from here.

Re: 90 2.1 Digifant 1 starting problem
UPDATE.. I just went back outside to "play" and wanted to start from scratch… I now am getting an instance where the pressure at the "t" may or may not come. I mean i hear the pump cut on then the next time it doesn't, Or even when it does still no spray from injectors but have pressure at "t"

Re: 90 2.1 Digifant 1 starting problem
there is fuel in the tank, it didn't run out, you haven't dragged crud into the fuel system ?
iirc single injector is 4-5ohm, the whole set is 16ohm when checked at the ecu, if that's low then there's a wiring issue possibly on the injector loom, bad connection or broken wire
pump will run 5 seconds first ignition on to start, but if pressure in system is good it won't always do it, when the engine starts and pump runs you can't hear it then
I have seen disappearing 12V at the stud supplying the relays, check alternator connection

try all connections, clean them and reconnect including your ecu connector. this worked for me last night and my van did exactly they same as yours by the sounds of it. its worth a shot and it doesn't cost anything!
