Best source of spray can paint
Hi
I am planning to treat a few bits of rust on my van at the weekend, but was wondering after treating the rust where is the best place to get a rattle can of paint from.
The colour of my van is R1R1 Pastel White L90D.
I understand that colour match is going to be hard as the paint on the van is going to have faded. I think it cost about £7 a can at Halford or about twice as much if I get a local paint shop to mix it.
Any general tips would be great
Thanks

I too have the same colour, the back of the van had been painted at some point and you can see the colour difference.
I used Halford rattle cans on a step repair and the colour match was very good. I would use them again.

Halford mix the colours to your code they don't hold any colours in stock any more.

Re: Best source of spray can paint
I had rat cans mixed to a VW colour code a few times in recent years, at a local paint specialist. Colour match seemed ok, but it seemed to take forever to fully harden (putting a cover on 2 weeks later left a cover pattern in the paint...). I'm sure he said it was 2K in a single can. Tricky stuff that paint. Bri

Halfords is the way to go, use thier rubbing down compound first to the panel your working on and the nearest panels, and it will match very good.

Re: Best source of spray can paint
These chaps are meant to be able to match the colour to your existing colour paint (bearing in mind it may/will have faded over time). Only thing is you need to send off a sample to them so they can match it. Failing that, they can also make up colour from your code:
