Cold start handle "trim" - replacement?
I've managed to snap the piece of trim that screws under the dash and is the surround for the diesel cold start handle. Any idea please if anyone sells a replacement? Many thanks

Re: Cold start handle "trim" - replacement?
El, this happened to me. My remedy was to drill a hole approx 2mm through the piece of plastic that has the fine internal threads at about 3mm from the "finger handle"'. I then super glued the two pieces together. Through the 2mm hole I inserted a small round nail which I'd cut and filed down. The nail was then glued in place with plenty of Arildite type glue.
When it's all dry, you are effectively pulling on the nail (like drawing the string of a bow), as opposed to the plastic knob. That was two years ago and it's still OK. Hope this makes sense.

Not really - the handle is available from Brickwerks and the post is about the plastic surround trim!

ha, thanks guys
found some unused screw holes in the non-snapped bit of the trim so managed to bodge it back together for now, I'll keep my eye open for vans getting broken to see if I can pick up an unsnapped one
