headlight flash

Mot is due in a couple of weeks. High beam & low beam work ok but I have no flash. If I want to flash my lights . Is this normal or is it time for a replacement light stalk?

You should have a headlamp flash function but it is on a different power supply from the headlights, check you have 12v at the red/yellow wire at the dip switch otherwise the switch is faulty.

Is this an MOT failure? Mine passed with this problem last year, but I have heard there are new regs now.

No not req for the MOT, but the van was designed with the function.

My mate's mother always used to try to flash when she saw me - trouble was every time she did so the wipers went!

Thanks for your help. Will check voltage on switch wires tomorrow.
