With winter on the way I decided it was time to reconnect the ducting on my air-cooled CU engined van. The junction box that fits across the the chassis had broken at one of the riveted joint so I took it off to fix it. I drilled out the rivets and glued it back together with hot-melt glue. The joint seems strong enough but today a thought crossed my mind.
"How hot does hot melt glue have to get before it softens up and stops being glue?"
The junction box will see heat straight off the heat exchangers so will that be enough to melt the joint?
