Re: Hi top gutter join help
sorry
but i dont think you could get much more in there
point though, maybe run a line of tape on the hitop just above the height of the outer lip of the gutter then apply a long fat bead of sealnt and use a spat upon spatula of dog spreader to flat it of neat, cant do any harm but then all the water will run overthe windows ans cause issues elsewhere, tis the lesser of 2 evils. got a picky or 2 of the rest of the van, in for a penny as they say

Re: Hi top gutter join help
What type of sealant do I use that is waterproof as silicone is not good for painting over. Would you put any rust eater on the edges that have a bit of rust and what make is good stuff. Sliding door does work but I have to be ware of it when opening it. It is on my ever growing list lol. I want to do as much possible my self, I'm a quick learner. I'm a bit frustrated with the guy I brought it from has he still hasn't sent me the paint codes. Here goes metal the rest of my vans bodywork issues. Cheers again mate....
these are standard chips from sliding door dropping off.
. On one wheel arch. Still solid metal with no. Rust.
. A dint to the bottom panel and bottom rhs of side door.
. This line which isn't rust, more split paint. Runs along above the removable panel on the sliding door groove. And on the opposite side. Phew that's it...

Park it on a slope? Not desirable while you're camping in it obviously, but even a mild slope will be a lot more than you can create by building up the filler. My van is a bit 'nose up' on my drive, so the gutters empty pretty well. Another benefit is that the windscreen leak I thought I noticed in the rain on my hols hasn't happened on my drive.

Re: Hi top gutter join help
Great idea but I have a little space I can reverse into on my property that is safe and secure. flat as a pancake. I don't really want to park it on the street...

Re: Hi top gutter join help
few picks from a bit further away as they are blurred as well
where do you host the picks prior to upload
as for the gutters ,well you cant make things much worse ,so as you say avoid silicone household products like the plague (sorry if that offends and carriers on here)
tigerseal, any of the pu adhesive sealants will do, i would just apply and smooth it so it sort of fills the holes and splits, that has to better than nothoing ? as for rust treatment, its too bad up there.
your front arch is well rusty, scrape that off and treat but as said i would need to see picks of the whole van to advise better. sorry
oh and whats the interior like and does it drive well

Re: Hi top gutter join help
Interior is good. I have pics on here. Engine and drive is good. I will be asking a few questions on engine at some point but not yet. She starts first time doesn't use oil or water at the mo lol. I will take some more pics. My pics are in the garage section or under the thread cant stop smiling. Please have a look and let me know what you think... It sounds like you really know what you are saying, I'm all new to this...
