Subaru EJ20 question

Post by nathand2r »

Hi,

The EJ20 Subaru engine in my t25 overheated, and now the engine is a right mess.
Ive found another, but its an out of an automatic subaru? Will this cause any problems? Or will it just be a bolt in, plug in job.

Cheers

should work as long as it is the same engine type eg EJ207 (I don't know the EJ20 codes), if it's not then swapping over the inlet manifold and maybe the senders may be necessary

Sorry to hear about your dead engine.
Before you install another one though, I would check your cooling system. Did your engine overhead because of a blockage and or dodgy radiator!
