I know, they were very friendly and helpful. When they said they could get my heating working for £60 instead of £500 for a whole new install i thought brilliant. Ill have to leave the van till after christmas now. I got allot of overtime at work now to try and pay off some of huge overdraft (van bills) and two small children to buy presents for. Oh and MOT due on the van Nov... Hope the misses is not expecting anything for christmas

That way you can manage expectations.
He said he could get my heating permanently on and there would be constant hot air in the cab. Im not sure how you can get confused about that. Seems pretty clear to me. Only cold air, job has not been done properly!! I think thats a pretty reasonable summary of the situation.

It's not "this van". It's attempting to run _any_ older vehicle in a hands-clean way. There's really only two rational choices - get your hands dirty, or drive a modern dullbarge.

Agreed. Take it back and get it done to your satisfaction. Failing that....get the money you paid back.
I would.... My money is hard earned...i don't mind paying for anything but i absolutely cant stand wasting it or giving it to someone who doesn't do what they say.
We were in Scotland at easter and this worked just fine for us with young kids - nothing quite like waking up in the morning to find that it'd snowed overnight.
