Excellent find Andrew.
Did I see Jed and Al in there with very short hair!!!
Must be the very narrow tyres. Peeps reckon 2CV's are ace in the snow.
The Boss had a smart car for two years and even though it was rear wheel drive it was awesome in the snow, far better than I had expected.
Cheers Rich

2cv's are excellent offroad! High ground clearance, flat underbelly, and very light - they were designed to be capable of crossing muddy fields. Also light enough to be easily dragged out of trouble when they do get stuck. There's a video here comparing one to a modern citroen crossing a field:-

Awesome

The 2cv I owned in '97 - 98 was set up for off-roading - van exhaust, and higher ride height. I didn't actually take it off-roading, but I was one of the only cars to get out of a car-park at glastonbury mudfestival '98 without being towed by a tractor. Would love to own one again one day, maybe a van - before I bought my current T25 I spent hours reading 2cv travel/ overland blogs.... sigh..

I always fancied a Renault 4, after watching Danny Devito thrash one around South America in 'Romancing the Stone'. Morris minor, vw Beetle, Renault 4, Citreon 2CV....all cut from the same cloth....
