any one seen this post on the samba,tried it tonight,I think it makes a difference,not having a sound meter do not know for sure,http://www.t3-infos.de/images/Zwangsentl_3.jpg,hope that works,if not it is on the last page of "sound deadening on the cheap"

blocked the "holes" up with a dense type of foam and it has actually made a fair bit of difference,in the samba article it was mentioned to use "noodles" as used for swimming,may have a go at using something a bit better than foam rammed into the holes

the roads were wet going to work today and it has definitely made a difference to the road noise,a nice and cheap mod that work's

The problem is though, how much of that water is now going to be trapped in there, rotting out the box sections from the insides?

nothing up there yet as I have pushed it up a fair way and will replace it with better stuff,vw put foam up there according to the samba article,will give it a good waxoil before doing it more permanently
