steel wheels ?
Just got back from a trip to the peak district. I think the gearbox isn't quite right not the orignal box not the original engine! (1.9dg on LPG). Anyway I'm thinking 16" steel wheels might be the thing but I've had a good look and I wondred if there are a set that I can just bolt on? any help?

Re: steel wheels ?
Just wondering the logic here..
is it revving too much in top?
do you have a tachometer to check?
Whats the gearbox code?
Mercedes van steels will fit but I'm not sure what the ET is

It says its an ABD box on the casing. But on the motorway we were doing a constant 65mph and the rev counter said 4000rpm, If I went up to 4300rpm the speedo and the satnat said we were doing 70mph. Standard 14" wheels with 195 60R tyers

Could always start by putting the right tyres on...
The original 185/80 14C are going to be a big chunk taller than those. I'd lay odds they're not load rated, either.

Yep - the circumference of standard 185/80/14s will be almost 10% bigger than those 195/60/14s, so your 4000rpm will come down to nearer 3600 - should make quite a difference.

Re: steel wheels ?
You have the correct load rated tyres mate. Your problem is not with the wheels.

						Re: steel wheels ?
So is there a set of 16" wheels that can go on the van without spacers or centers made bigger?
