Double Tongue Seat Belts

Post by Combehatter »

Does anybody know where I can buy double tongue seat belts? The type where the whole belt retracts out of the way when not in use and uses two buckles for fixing? I've tried Securon and endless Googling and have had no luck. I know they exist as they are in the the rear two seats of my Qashqai!!

Cheers

hi

I had these fitted in my van but alas no luck in finding them anywhere !

The closest I found was on ebay Nissan Almera Tino rear seat belts ( I also have this car )

The company that fitted on my van perhaps they may help

Must be a NIssan thing !

Maybe the company that fitted mine will sell you some or point you in the right direction as to where they get them from.

I remember asking the guy and he said they cost about £70 each .

It cost me £320 including fitting for 2 belts ouch !!! Took him 2.5 hrs as he had to drill every new hole for fitting them.

I use one of these to give me a three point retractable seat belt on my middle row of seats.

Have a look at this thread:

There are some pictures of my belts one of which is what I think you may be after. Seat belt service did them for me.

That's the one! Didn't really want to have to drag the bus across the country but looks like I may have to!

They do come to you for a call out charge. I think I paid £40 call out - I'm in Ashford, Kent. It's worth contacting them to ask.

They did a good job, it didn't take long and I would recommend them. At the end of the day whilst not cheap for supply and install its a one off cost.

A place I have used a couple of times is:
Quickfit safety belt Service In Middlesex. 0208 206 0101 http://www.quickfitsbs.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have a double tongue belt that they supplied in the centre of my multivan. The reel is bolted to a plate welded into the top corner of the tailgate frame.
