HELP! Door lock knob won't move..
Hi
Please help,
My T25 drivers side door lock is having problems... When I turn the key the inner lock knob won't budge.. Up or down.. So it is continuously unlocked.... Not good! If you manually try and pull the knob up on push it down it feels like there is resistance, almost like there is something blocking it from being pushed down...
I have taken the inner door card off but can't see where the problem may lie...
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Thanks for that,
What parts will I need to remove so that I can see? I'm new to this malarkey but am keen to have a go myself.

To remove door handle, undo screw tucked under door rubber but level with lock then slide door lock a little (horizontally) and it'll pop out. Beyond that you'll need to remove winder handle and anything else attached to door card then unclip door card.

Re: HELP! Door lock knob won't move..
I suspect just removing handle won't solve the problem. With door panel removed you could try using a mirror and a strong torch to see if you can look into that area and see whats going on, if not you may have to strip door down entirely as its virtually impossible to get to everything with the glass still in. Haynes explains it fairly well. I can strip one down fairly quickly, its mostly short bolts.

Our passenger side door behaves in a similar manner ... unless the window is open, then it is fine.
