Electolux fridge 12v wiring?

just edited my original post
i have a electrolux rm4206 fridge i need to know which is the live terminal for the 12v, my fridge is now built in so can not see the terminals properly just have the wire hanging out.
As i look from the front of the fridge over the top the 2 terminals are on the right hand side can anyone tell me which is the live

I'm pretty sure it doesnt matter,
The 12V elements I have seen just have two black wires coming out.

Hi, i’ve quoted this post because it relates to the model of fridge, it isn’t really anything to do with this issue, so i hope you don’t mind. We’ve just bought our first camper and are trying to familiarise ourselves with it, as such we've hooked it up to 240v to test everything. I was just wondering, how do you know whether this fridge is working? Does this type of fridge makes a noise when it’s working? (currently it makes no sound). I’m not talking about the gas operation, specifically talking about 240v and 12v, there doesn’t appear to have a light to indicate its working (or not). I appreciate that these fridges take many hours to get cold and as this is currently on the road (and its raining), i’m unable to leave it connected to mains for that long. Just want a quick indication whether i should call someone out to look at it or not. Thanks in advance.

The van fridges need to be level to get cold, they make no noise at all. The 12v should only work with the engine running and on maximum should be able to freeze things in about 100 miles. On mains it will get cold in 1/2 hour and similar on gas if it's all working correctly.

Can't speak of Westie fridges.

Many thanks Ian, will try plugging it in for 1/2 hour or so if it ever stops raining!
