Adding a stripe (again!)

Post by kevtherev »

Our camper was once Striped with an ugly Autosleeper stripe, in brown... and a white roof

Image

I changed it in 2004 for a more pleasing aspect (to me any way) attempting to tie in the high roof with the body.

Image

Mike restored the rear of the van in 2011 and resprayed it all one colour.

I just couldn't get on with it
So my mate Nige (of Minty fame) agreed to put the stripe back, then the white panel.

I always thought your van looked just ace in that picture :ok

When our other van (White TinTop) comes back (soon) I too have been thinking about a stripe of some sort, but I am terrible at trying to settle on a colour / design  Currently thinking a simple Sage green stripe along the lines of yours, but not going up by the vents.

Thanks John
I agonised for weeks over various photo shop "experiments"
The overiding factor was the tie in and proportion.. purely horizontal stripes tended to layer the van.

forcing lines of swage just looked plain daft, and the vent idea was a line invisible to a pop top, the 'sleeper top is so german panzer it would lend itself to some angular stuff.
