Battery trickle chargers. For over wintering

Post by Realize »

Hi Guys

Now the weather is closing in I want to look at getting some kind of battery maintenance charger that I can plug in and forget about over the winter to keep the batteries in good order.

Can this be done with batteries left in bus or should I remove them.

Bus is a 81 Aircooled t25 Westy

Cheers for any advice J

I have several motorcycles and a couple of cars the ones I am not using over the winter go on trickle chargers and I have never disconnected the batteries from the vehicles personally I can't see why you should need to if you use the right chargers.

C-Tek range are great quality and can be trusted IMO. They sometimes sell a cheap intelligent charger in Aldi for about £13 which also good value.
