5 wires! Sure it's not 4? Was there 2 hydralic switches on the master cylinder?

Re: TDI mpg vs engine temp
Kinda...but it's the later switch...mine isn't and that why I get the code, the pressure sender fault concerns me more...will keep an eye open for a spare ecu for the glove box just in case!
Re: TDI mpg vs engine temp
For the pressure sensor, presuming yours is a 68pin ECU, pull the PCB out of the box and check both the soldered joints, the internal pipe ,more likely make sure the sensor is not full of engine oil.
For our TDis we do use a relay for brake switch, using 87a to switch earth/pos depending on ECU with factory T3 brake switch operating relay

Re: TDI mpg vs engine temp
I've got the 4-pin switch, nevertheless I've had two, maybe three times when I've had a 'brake pedal monitoring' DTC. I think I'll ditch the mechanical switch and simply use the T3 brake lamp wire plus a 5-pin relay for the inverted signal. I think this is the most likely to give trouble-free operation.

Re: TDI mpg vs engine temp
It works great Andy, never seen any DTC's on our conversions, we put relay under rear seat but if you don't want clicking from relay the fit it in rear Jcn box
