Ian,
the 'wing mirror trick' also meant that I could see forward and down better than if they were folded back. Must have helped because I didn't hit any posts.

The german lady you're referring to is Katja. She's also the one that had the Mammutpark advertising on her truck.

Well done, Gary. Congrats there.

Well done Gary. It's all good clean (well ours was dirty!) fun.

I'd love to have been able to hear the full results - perhaps Mike can gather them - just to gauge how poorly we did. We certainly learned a lot in that short time which we will apply in any future offroad excursions.

There's 40 years of off-roading and trials driving gone into that win! But I did have to think hard about the different rules - being able to stop/start, roll reverse, etc and that the penalties are throughout the route not just the first one you hit.

What's this about a wager then Hutch? I don't do beers but perhaps I'll brew you a tea next time?

Was there any plaque things for the display this year by the way? Forgot to ask after I packed up my tent etc and hope I haven't missed out...got the trial one.

If you were entered the Syncro Show & Shine on sunday, there was a plaque and I think, there was also one for the Syncro Display.

The Show & Shine plaques are all gone, but if you were in that, I've actually got 2 :) For the Syncro display plaque's, you'd have to contact Syncro Mike from the Busfest crew.

There was a presentation in the main hall next to the syncro display at 4pm. 2nd place went to the German(?) lady in the white single cab with the full length canopy and I came away with this

A nice ending to an enjoyable weekend.

So who was 3rd? Is there a full league table somewhere on a German website somewhere? ...
