Thanks Mark

No idea why it wasn't spotted before, don't think they wanted to take it all apart until they had all the bits to fix it which wasn't until yesterday, so when work started this morning, I assume they looked properly, took it to bit, looked again and said something like 'oh bu**er, need one of them as well' :rofl or something like that.
To be fair, they do want to do it properly, and are trying really hard to get it sorted. I suppose that it will be worth it, at least all the back brake bits are done, and we had the other back plate done earlier this year, so only the front discs to fail now on the braking front :rofl oh and then there's the welding, by which time the body will be rusting through nicely and probably the floor will fall out. Not that I'm being pessimistic, just realising that these really ARE old vans. Maybe I should've stuck to canvas :idea

Sod that canvas malarkey! Yep they might be old but once sorted these busses are strong little buggers and give you loads of pleasure along with empty wallets.

Keep with it Sue :ok

Well, hooray, we can go on holiday. Back brakes done, new cylinders, shoes, one back plate and new back pipes (front pipes still to do) they will need adjusting and bleeding but safe to go so we are going. A shortened holibobs and we seem to have missed the sunshine, but on the plus side, Padstein will be much quieter :ok and OH gets to spend time with his bro 8)

Wish us luck :rollin
