Hi Rich, no problem hijack away. I used a bar pushed through the cool spring and rested on top of the anti roll bar top. Which acted as a lever to pull down on, which in turn pushed the roll bar link and all the donuts, caps etc down. This then allowed me to attach the nut in the little bit of thread exposed.
It's because the rubbers are new and haven't deformed yet that stop you from exposing enough thread to get your nut on.
You have to have the roll bar fully attached in their rubber seats though before you can lever it.
I hope this is clear enough? If not I can always take a piccy to demonstrate?

I thought I must be doing something wrong but it seems it is the 9 stone weakling that's the problem.

Need judicious application of leverage and swearing then. :ok

And to hopefully add some useful information.

I would suggest using a 2 or 3 arm puller to remove the top drop link bushes, had to in my case as I just didn't have the grunt to shift em by hand. I would also suggest drilling a small centring hole on the end of the ARB. I didn't and the damn puller centre screw kept wandering across the end of the ARB. Save yourself the trouble and skinned fingers and drill the centering hole (doesn't need to be deep, just enough to centre the puller on securely it will not effect ARB strength) and its there for next time then!

Mornin' guys! I'm kind of new around here, so I hope it's okay for me to step in on this one. I realize that the job is done now, but maybe this will help someone else in the future.

Here is video that I put together showing how I install the upper endlink bushings. It works especially well with the urethane bushings. (Yes, I have a funny American voice)
