Hi
I although this is my first post I do watch and follow the forums but any questions I have seem to be answered else where here or any answers I know seem to have already been posted.
Anyway, I have a 1.9 Petrol 1983 T25 westfalia high top German import.
It has an idle problem, it starts sits at 2000 rpm then after 30 secs drops off until it conks out unless you keep the revs high ie. over 2500 rpm. I have had this since last summer when I used it a lot but it sat idle over the winter and I still have the problem. I have already done a fair bit on it and that list is: new fuel filter, new fuel pump and rod, refurbished carb inc little fuel filter, drained and flushed fuel tank, replaced dizzy cap, rotor arm, spark plugs, rocker covers and seals (but that was because they were leaking) changed the oil all vacuum hoses and the rest of the filters. Still no joy. I have also tried it after unplugging the choke and removing the choke unit, with and without the carb cover on and I have made sure the carb float chamber is full.
As I'm sure you can tell I'm running out of ideas now and feel the is not much more to do before I have done a whole engine refurb.
Any tips or advice or best of all the answer will be much appreciated .

Have you got 12 v to the spade terminal ? check with a test light or multi meter before shelling out for the solonoid .

Re: Running problems
Just tested that and have voltage present.
Might just call Kombi Klassics in the morning and let them source one for me, normally if I spend hours looking for a part they end up having one on the shelf.
