No power to ignition, lights and radio
As title says, van started fine yesterday morning went to start in the evening ignition lights came on, turned the key nothing. Took the battery off charged it overnight still the same. Ive checked all wiring in the engine bay all looks spot on. Nothing else works in the van ( radio, headlights, etc) Could it just be an earth problem?
Thanks
Thanks

Unlikely, but check - if it is, then it'll be between the -ve terminal on the battery and the bodywork.
I'd start by looking at the ignition switch contacts.

Re: No power to ignition, lights and radio
Ive cleaned the 2 earth points under the dash and the one from the battery still the same. The ignition switch looks ok, i might just replace it to be on the safe side.
The radio doesn't need the ignition to be turned on to play would the switch still affect it?
Also when i tried the hazard lights there was a loud clicking noise from the front fuse box

I assume you've checked all the fuses and that they are OK?
Is anything getting power - clock, central locking, door lights, hazard lights etc ??

Havent looked at the fuses yet. Clock is ticking away. headlights dont work and hazards make a loud clicking noise
Just tried the starting the van before all the lights came on the dash for a second and went off (glowplugs, oil, temp etc).
The joys of electrics

Re: No power to ignition, lights and radio
I would first check the battery is still serviceable. Use a multimeter check the battery voltage should be around 12.6v then check it again with the ignition switched on it shouldn't have dropped below 11v.

The battery is reading 12.4v, fuses are all spot on, tried turning the ignition on still the same reading.
