Quick update, thanks and shameless plug.......
For the nice people at Brickwerks, who are super efficient as always and made sure my brake bits and things arrived today, in time for the garage man tomorrow and hopefully holibobs on Wednesday.

After the week we have had, it's a rather large relief

So thank you Brickwerks, and all you lovely peeps on here for making finding the bits easy, Victor may stop properly this time tomorrow :ok

Dazco, each time you turn up in Masham, we tend to be away - either just bad timing or you really, REALLY don't want to me me

Just joking, :rofl

Am looking forward to being able to stop properly and use the handbreak, we have some fairly big hills round here, just hope the man who is doing it knows what to do - think ill leave the Haynes out on the seat

Thanks Mark, I rather hope he is on the road to Cornwall by Wednesday, complete with an effective stopping system

Have you sold the fantastic van, or have you decide to keep it? Was also wondering if you'd put a little high top on yours? Am going to miss everyone at Danby Wiske  so have a lovely meet, and a pint for me :ok

Hi Sue you will be missed at Danby but I am sure there will be more meets soon! Enjoy yourself at Cornwall are you stopping over on the way down to break up the journey as it's quite a trek in one go? Still undecided about the restored van (still like mine) But if it sells will be getting bodywork done on mine plus a new interior and a roof the same as yours as someone is still making them.

See you soon Mark

Hi Mark
Well not stopping on the way down, except for dog walk breaks, but looks like we are going nowhere till, probably Friday.
My fault......
Only bought one cable  needs two, obvious to someone who knows  so garage ordered another but didn't come till this afternoon and can't be done today, or even probably tomorrow so may take till Thursday to be finished so may go Friday

The way I feel at the moment, if I never see Cornwall again it'll be too soon, and just right this very minute, Victor too  if anything else goes wrong in the next couple of days, you'll find me in a cave on a hillside somewhere.

Add to all this OH was really not well last night, doctors this morning, all ok now, and old dog running out of time

Bliddy Hell Sue! One thing after another. Hope Victor is sorted soon and your on your way to Cornwall (Otherwise we will see you at Danby?)

One thing bugging me, why didn't the backplate get spotted while the van was being assessed? It's one of the items that we replaced on the Komet restoration and not easy to miss if its badly corroded. Anyway suppose it's a bit late now to wonder why but am sure you will soon be on your way enjoying yourself.

See you soon Mark
