early sliding door latch HELP!!!!!

i really need and exploded view of the front latch mech on the sliding door. yesterday while away camping just about to set off for a walk to the pub, closing up the sliding door and it wont stay shut help i think! so i take the door off and stip out the rear latch and free it all up and hey presto after an hour of fiddling the doors back on the van and shuts like a dream better than ever only problem is it wont open from the outside hence the need for the exploded view i think that something is missing off the slide that works the bowden cable, but im not sure.

well ive now got it all apart and i think its knackered! anyone know where i can get a new/second hand latch?

Thanks for that. I couldn't find one on vw heritage. I'll look again. Would it be worth the extra 35 notes for a brand new one?
