First off, I know, these are probably daft questions that I could find the answer to somewhere, but I'm eyeball deep in paper and trying to get everything sorted for an early morning set off to France tomorrow. Sadly one of the bits of paper I can no longer find is the original van manual.
My question then - am I right in thinking there was a diagram showing the amount of oil that the high and low marks on the dip stick represented (i.e. so you could work out how much you need to put in to top up if required)? We're going a fair way and I imagine a top up will probably be in order at some point, just don't want to over do it!
Also (and shoot me down if you wish) it's the dots on the dipstick right not the kinks in it higher up that are the marks.
Sorry in advance!

Cheers. Sorry, was feeling the pressure last night! Phase 1 out of the way, 9 hours on the road and no major problems. Just hope he starts bright and early tomorrow for the ferry.

Good luck!
Last time I came back from France I had to bump start it to go on the ferry - turned out to be a loose lead on the starter.
We don't call our outings 'holidays', we call them 'adventures' - that way if we break down it doesn't freak my little one out....although we just did nine days touring Cornwall and it didn't miss a beat...
