Radius rods

Post by 123-jn »

Wowser, these fellas are a pig to do. And who put that gas tank right in the way!!! The nuts come off no problem and the a shower of rust falls from the bushes as you remove the front one. Then the problem comes!! Winding those nuts back down the thread after measuring the positions is a real pain even after wire brushing and cleaning the threads. It took 30 mins just to wind one side back!! And punching myself in the face with a slipped 27mm spanner wasn't much fun either. Looks like I need to jack the hubs up to align the rods a bit straighter in order to get everything bolted up. Just waiting for some stainless sleeves from brikwerks. Does anyone know how to fit the roll bar top rubbers. Is it rubber on the roll bar first then try to fit the link over or is it rubber in the link and try to fit over the lip on the roll bar?
