I have been to VW White-noise today at Norwich, on the way home this evening my oil pressure light flashes on and off and I get a sudden loss of power, I pulled over checked things over, stayed stationery until cooled down before driving further on, it drove as it should again for possibly ten miles before it happened again, I again pulled over and cooled down again and continued on my way, after repeating this several times we eventually got home.
I need some advice please on what to do.
I did look at the air filter and there was a little bit of oil in it?
The oil level was good when I left, it is lower now than when I left below half way.
I drive a 1980 1.6 air-cooled T25

Get your oil pressure checked with a proper garage gauge..
like this:
You want min imum 2 bar at 1500 rpm.. I prefer 3 1/2 bar.
a compression check on all 4 cylinders would not go amiss..
You should not use or leak oil..
Be careful.. there is not a lot of oil in the motor
Get these test results so you can decide what is wrong.. and not wrong..
