Clutch change

Post by BigBirtha »

Hi,
I need to replace my clutch on a 1.9td. Does the engine have to come out for this or is it possible to just drop the gear box out the way? Also does any one have a rough idea how much labour would be to have this done at a garage? Cheers!

just drop the gearbox saves having to re bleed the water system i would estimate 2 hours to remove and 2 hours to replace to be on the safe side or £100 but hourly rates in garages would be more like double this
