Fuel Pump

Received repro mechanical fuel pump for my 1981 2 lt CU engine from JK and noticed the outlet pipe is the same size/diameter as original pump but the inlet from tank is a bigger diameter. Has any other club member fitted/replaced one of these pumps or had any problems ? Also noticed these repro pumps have no built in filter fitted to them ! Looks like you need to replace full length of fuel pipe from the in-line filter at the tank to pump at extra cost (why make pump pipes different diameters ?)
